This post will be the beginning of a “Faded Talk” series I will be starting on this blog. I will be sharing my thoughts and opinions about different topics that you all as readers can hopefully relate to.
Adult•ing (noun) — The practice of behaving in a way characteristic of a responsible adult, especially the accomplishment of mundane but necessary tasks.
For this post I’ll just be writing about my own personal experience when it comes to what we like to call “adulting.”
I’m sure you remember when you were little you couldn’t wait until you were old enough to do whatever you wanted, buy whatever you saw, and even go to sleep whenever you wanted. Well guess what, you’re living those days right now. How are you doing?
As you graduated college you start realizing that you’ve been lied to your whole life. Adulting pretty much sucks. One day you’re a 15 year old with hopes and dreams and the next day you’re 25 still living with your parents, your bank account is nowhere near stable, and you have a job that has nothing to do with your college degree. And that’s real life folks.
And at that exact moment, you have a choice. Either remember the hopes and dreams you had when you were 15 and still follow them, or, decide to give up on what you once wanted and stay exactly where you are.. comfortable.
What choice will you make?
